How long can lubricants be stored for?
Answer:Lubricants have a quite long lifetime because they are designed to resist to strong stresses. When storage conditions are good (dry and covered place) lubricants can be kept on shelf for 5 years. When lubricants can be sensitive to moisture or water, like EALs (Environmentally Acceptable Lubricants), it is advised to keep them for a maximum of 3 years. However before taking action after such period of time (use or destruction of the product) it is recommended to check the statement of the product with analysis.? Was this information useful ?
