The International Maritime Organization decision to limit ship sulfur emissions from 3.5% to 0.5% from January 1, 2020, (IMO 2020) is an industry game-changer. Quite simply, it will be the most significant shift in how ships are powered since the nineteenth-century switch from wind to coal.
